Android Developer

We are collaborating with a major news media outlet based in Europe. We are seeking a talented Android Developer to join our team remotely, with a preference for individuals in the Pacific Daylight Time (PDT) zone. While candidates do not have to reside in the PDT zone, they must be available during core PDT hours.Position Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled Android Developer with mid to senior-level experience to assist in the development of mobile applications for our media client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Android development and a proven track record of delivering high-quality code within tight deadlines.Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop Android applications.Participate in the entire app lifecycle, from concept to delivery.Write clean, maintainable code and ensure code quality through testing.Troubleshoot and debug issues to optimize app performance.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in Android development.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Proven experience as an Android Developer, with at least [X] years of experience.Proficiency in Java and/or Kotlin programming languages.Solid understanding of Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools.Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.Nice to Have:Experience with media or news-related applications.Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.Knowledge of UI/UX design principles.Contributions to open-source projects or a strong online presence (e.g., GitHub, Stack Overflow).
