Job OverviewWe're seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team on a short-term, project-based contract. Your primary mission will be to develop a custom WordPress theme that aligns with our agency’s vision of delivering unique digital touch-points. This role requires a creative thinker who is adept at translating conceptual ideas into practical web solutions, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement a custom WordPress theme from scratch, tailored to meet project requirements.Work closely with our design team to ensure the theme aligns with visual and branding specifications.Optimize website performance for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring mobile responsiveness.Implement SEO best practices to enhance website visibility and search engine ranking.Maintain, update, and troubleshoot the website as needed, ensuring high levels of security and performance.Collaborate with project managers and other team members to meet deadlines and project goals.

RequirementsProficient in WordPress theme and plugin development, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.Solid understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery.Experience with PHP and MySQL, specifically related to WordPress development.Familiarity with website architecture and aesthetics.Knowledge of SEO principles and ensuring that applications will adhere to them.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Nice-to-Have RequirementsExperience with Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).Familiarity with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML).Previous experience with page builders like Elementor or Beaver Builder.Understanding of accessibility and security compliance.Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
