Sr GIS Developer - Remote [24-00133]

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated 100% Remote Senior GIS Developer to support a federal program! The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: Requirements: Ability to pass a U.S. government background check and obtain a Public Trust. Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technology related field. Five or more years of professional experience as a GIS Developer. Senior level technical experience with GIS products such as ESRI ArcGIS. Senior level technical experience with Python development and Python frameworks. Mid-level technical experience with Java development and Java frameworks. Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with development teams, end users, and clients. Desired: Senior level experience with Java development. Previous experience supporting U.S. government federal agencies or federal programs. Existing/active Public Trust. Experience with Linux/Windows. Experience with cloud products (AWS, Azure, GCP).Responsibilities: Join a development team as a Senior GIS Developer to support a variety of modern applications used by a large federal program to collect and analyze geospatial data/information. Hands-on development within GIS software, Python, Java. Work with customers to develop solutions to technical challenges. Collaborate with technical staff to develop best practices and SOPs.
