Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing effective email campaigns through the creation and design of email templates. You will ensure they are delivered in a timely and accurate manner, and optimize them for customer engagement. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive HTML and CSS email coding and development experience and a deep understanding of email service providers, email best practices and development workflows. You should also be experienced in working with many different internal and external teams as you create and manage email templates based on the overall outcome from the end users and/or client. In summary, this role requires a blend of technical proficiency in coding, data analysis skills and digital marketing to drive successful email marketing campaigns and optimize their performance.
Remote can sit anywhere in US. Central time zone would be idealNeed someone who can do it all with email template development. They need to have a minimum of 3 years experience and mid level (not beginning in experience). They would prefer someone with 5 + years of experience. They will work directly with the Hubspot Administrator and AVP of IT to manage the daily administration and operations of email campaigns.Demonstrated ability while working remotely to manage simultaneous work flows and campaigns while maintaining quality output, very responsive to emails / calls and meeting deadlines.Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate at different levels of the organization, from peers to executives to occasional client interactions.Client-focused and positive attitude. Openness to learning new skills and software as necessary as it relates to designing templates that might include custom API's. The ideal candidate will work with the team to learn a handful of specialized software applications that are specific to the utility and power industries.
What you will do in the job
Coding and Design: Utilize HTML, CSS, and other programming languages to create visually appealing and responsive email templates that are compatible with various email clients and devices. MJML coding and development experience is nice to have but not required.
Email Campaign Strategy: Develop and execute effective email marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement, retention, and conversion rates.
Automation and Segmentation: Implement advanced email automation workflows and segment customer lists for targeted campaigns based on user behavior and preferences.
UI/UX experience with A/B Testing: Conduct A/B tests on subject lines, content, and design elements to optimize email performance and increase open and click-through rates.
Data Analysis: Analyze email campaign data, interpret results, and provide insights to improve overall email marketing effectiveness.
Deliverability: Monitor email deliverability metrics and take necessary actions to ensure high inbox placement rates.
Compliance: Ensure all email marketing activities comply with relevant data protection and anti-spam regulations.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team, content creators, and designers to align email marketing strategies with broader marketing initiatives.
Customer Segmentation: Identify and create customer segments based on behavior, preferences, and engagement levels to personalize email communications.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to troubleshoot and resolve any coding-related issues in email templates and campaigns.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on email marketing best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies to enhance campaign performance.
Reporting: Prepare regular performance reports and communicate results and recommendations to stakeholders.
