Jira Developer

Job Description: We are seeking a talented JIRA Developer to join our team for an exciting new project. As a JIRA Developer for this project, you will play a pivotal role in configuring, customizing, and maintaining our JIRA platform to support the unique requirements of this innovative initiative.

Responsibilities: • Customize and configure JIRA workflows, screens, fields, permissions, and notifications to meet the new project's specific needs. • Develop custom JIRA plugins, scripts, and automation to extend the platform's functionality and address project-specific requirements. • Collaborate closely with architects and tech leads to translate requirements into technical solutions within JIRA. • Perform JIRA administrative tasks such as managing users, permissions, and issue scheme configurations. • Integrate JIRA with other tools and systems within the project ecosystem to ensure seamless communication and collaboration. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to project team members experiencing issues with JIRA. • Develop and maintain automation workflows, build dashboards for project-specific metrics and insights, and configure custom fields as needed. • Test outcomes of customizations and plugins, identifying and resolving defects to ensure smooth project execution. • Participate actively in project planning meetings, Agile ceremonies, and collaborative sessions to optimize JIRA usage for project management and tracking. • Continuously monitor and analyze JIRA performance within the project context, identifying areas for improvement and implementing enhancements to optimize efficiency and productivity.

Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field. • Proven experience as a JIRA Developer or Administrator, with a strong understanding of JIRA configurations and customizations. • 3-5 years of experience is required. • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices, with hands-on experience in Agile project management using JIRA. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex project requirements and translate them into technical solutions. • Experience with JIRA integrations and familiarity with related tools such as Confluence.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fastpaced and dynamic project environment. • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet the project's needs. • Certification in JIRA Administration or Development (e.g., Atlassian Certified Professional) is a plus. • Proficiency in programming languages, such as JavaScript, SQL, Python, etc., for developing custom JIRA plugins and scripts is a plus.
