Senior Backend Developer

Company DescriptionNOTE: This role is to join a newly formed hackathon team. It is NOT for Titan Analytics. The team already has representation from most critical fields: business, product design, front-end development, and smart contracts. We need two senior back end developers.

The hackathon runs from now - May 7. Significant prize money (>$600K) is available to the winning teams.

NOTE: This is an UNPAID position. Successful candidates are entitled to a share of any prize money, proportionate to their contribution to the project.

Role DescriptionThis is a part-time remote role for a Senior Backend Developer. As a Senior Backend Developer, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the backend development team. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing the development process, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring high-quality code and system design, and driving innovation and continuous improvement. You will also participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance and mentorship to the team, and contribute to the overall architecture and scalability of our systems.

QualificationsExtensive experience in backend development, with expertise in at least one programming language such as Python, Java, or C++Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practicesProven experience in leading and managing development teamsExperience with cloud platforms and technologies such as AWS, GCP, or AzureKnowledge of database systems such as SQL, NoSQL, and familiarity with data modelingExperience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and KubernetesStrong problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsExcellent communication and leadership abilitiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)Experience working in early stage startups / proof of winning previous hackathons is a plus.Experience working with blockchain technologies is a plus.
