Principal Software Developer (Java)

Principal Software Developer | JavaRemote (in Ireland) €100K - €120K p/a + benefits

This is an Irish-owned SAAS company and a huge success story… they’ve grown from a small tech team, designing/building a product from scratch over 10 years ago to one of the biggest companies in their field today. They have over 30 people in tech now and over 100 in the business, this hire (they hope) will take their engineering function to another level. They’re looking for a very senior engineer (Principal level), there will be no direct reports but they need someone who leads by example, someone who drives collaboration and brings the engineering team together, available to jump on calls, organise story mapping activities, have an opinion during design conversations, coach some of the less senior developers etc.

Their stack is Java/Spring Boot/GCP, using tools like Kafka, Terraform etc, fully remote in Ireland, good benefits package and a path to progress into a role with more responsibility (if that’s what you’re looking for).

What we’re looking for..A Java expert.Comfortable driving best practices and mentoring engineers.Experienced building microservices.Likely close to 15 years’ engineering experience in different industry environments.Experienced architecting and deploying software.
