PowerBuilder Developer

Apex Systems has an urgent need for a PowerBuilder Developer that sits remote! This will be a 6 Month contract to permanent hire position supporting one of our Largest Government Clients on the East Coast. Please see below for details.

Job Title: PowerBuilder Developer Location: Remote Duration: 6 month contract to permanent hireContract Pay Rate: $50 - $60/hour depending on level of experience

Requirements: PowerBuilder Development experience Secret Security Clearance Eligibility Security+ Certification (Open to getting certification prior to start)

Responsibilities:Develops new functionality and maintains existing custom government off the shelf (GOTS) client software using secure coding best practices for a windows based platform.Assists in identification of security vulnerabilities and remediates them with oversight. Adheres to applicable DoD STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) when developing software.Promotes software development best practices and identifies specific areas for process improvement.Develops installation packages using VisualStudio and Wix, and creates upgrade paths for system updates.Applies a “system of systems” approach when performing systems engineering functions (such as creation of requirement and design documentation, or analysis of impacts to existing system functionality and interfaces for potential modifications).
