Senior Magento/eCommerce Developer

Godfrey Systems is currently looking to hire Senior Magento/eCommerce Developer. This opportunity is a 6+ month contract role with great likelihood of extension and can be worked 100% remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Must be available to work 40 hours per week.

Title: Senior Magento/eCommerce DeveloperLocation: Remote / TelecommuteContract Duration: 6+ months

Responsibilities:Review business requirements.Perform a technical analysis of requirements.Produce a solid, detailed technical design.Write clean, modular, robust code to implement the desired requirements.Contribute ideas for making the application better and easier to use.Efficiently use third-party data sources and APIs.Explore and utilize new technologies to maximize development efficiency.Create and execute unit tests on your code, to ensure its robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.Work together with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.Troubleshoot issues, fix bugs, and improve application performance.

Qualifications:7-8+ years of hands-on development experience with Magento and PHPExperience working with Magento and multistore capabilities. Including customizing themes, improving site responsivenessExperience enhancing user experience with front-end technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.Experience with relational databases such as MySQL or similar.ERP experience (SYSPRO, MS Business Dynamics, Salesforce)Experienced in Magento code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and dependency management.Strong integration and architectural knowledge of the Magento platformApplicant should have a good knowledge of object-oriented PHP programming.Responsible for managing back-end services.Should be able to build reusable PHP modules.Have understanding of the fully synchronous behavior of PHP.
