The roleFrontend Developer (with some Tagging Engineer) is a specialized role within the field of digital marketing and technology. This role primarily focuses on implementing and managing various types of tracking tags, pixels, and scripts on websites and digital platforms to collect data and enable analytics and marketing tools.
ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and implement tracking tags, pixels, and scripts for websites, mobile apps, and other digital properties. These tags may include Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Google Tag Manager, and other marketing and analytics tools
Ensure accurate and comprehensive data collection for various metrics, such as user behavior, website traffic, conversion rates, and more. This data is crucial for making data-driven marketing decisions
Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance to ensure that tracking tags are correctly implemented, and data is accurate and reliable
Utilize tag management systems like Google Tag Manager to centralize and streamline the process of adding, editing, and removing tags on digital properties
Investigate and resolve issues related to tag implementation, data discrepancies, and tracking errors
Collaborate closely with marketing teams, data analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand tagging requirements and provide technical guidanceMaintain clear documentation of tagging processes, configurations, and changes for reference and compliance purposes
Keep up-to-date with industry trends, changes in tracking technology, and best practices in digital analytics.
Requirements3+ years of experience in Frontend development
Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and other web technologies is essential
Experience with tag management systems like Google Tag Manager is highly desirableStrong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations to optimize marketing campaigns and website performance
Exceptional attention to detail is crucial to ensure accurate data collection and tag implementation
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to tag implementation and data discrepancies
Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Solid understanding of digital marketing concepts, online advertising, and marketing technologies is beneficial
Relevant certifications such as Google Analytics Individual Qualification (IQ) or Google Tag Manager Certification are considered as a plus.
