Senior Mobile Developer (React Native/Typescript)

Virtasant is a leading cloud consulting services provider. We heavily focus on lift & shift, cloud-native development, cloud cost optimization, and migration services. As a consulting company, we often are faced with the challenge of creating an engineering team in a matter of a week or two. To do that, we have created a secondary support business that runs an engineering talent network and provides staffing services.

Our client is one of the world’s leading media companies, with a 24-hour English-language news channel and they are looking for Senior Mobile Developers to join their team.

In this role, you will play a pivotal role in the development and maintenance of our mobile application, ensuring its optimal performance, usability, and security. You will work closely with our development team to deliver high-quality solutions.

Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain the mobile application using React Native and other relevant technologies. Optimize the mobile application for performance, usability, and security. Stay updated with the latest mobile app development trends and emerging technologies. Collaborate with the team to identify requirements, meet project milestones, and maintain regular communication. Effectively communicate and resolve issues with internal and external stakeholders. Review and enhance source code to align with project coding standards. Participate in the development of new features and provide support for existing ones.

QualificationsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. 10+ years of professional experience. 7+ years of experience in mobile development. Proven expertise as a Senior Mobile Engineer with a strong focus on React Native, iOS, and Android expertise. Proficiency in TypeScript. Strong background in Unit Testing. Solid knowledge of Git. Experience with modern CSS/Sass/Less. Understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.

Nice to HaveFamiliarity with connected devices (e.g., Apple TV) is a plus. Experience with GraphQL. Experience with Jest.Knowledge of CI/CD and automated testing. Knowledge of GitHub Actions.Experience with pair programming. Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum preferred) and having worked with agile teams.Experience with ads, news, or Connected devices (Apple TV, etc).
