Python Developer

Job DescriptionDecisionPoint is aggressively integrating our homegrown portal with outside services. These services all use some form of REST API, either XML or JSON formatted. We are looking for an intermediate-level developer who can learn these APIs, create the necessary retrieval or webhook functionality and store the results in a database.

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for a Python Developer. The Python Developer will be responsible for web development, software development, programming and databases for the company. The developer will also be responsible for object-oriented programming in the context of software development.Read and provide analysis on published API documentationCreate webhook listenersCreate Python scripts for data retrievalCreate SQL Server database tablesCreate APIs to push data to internal or external systemsDocument-developed code

QualificationsStrong knowledge of Back-End Web Development, Software Development, and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)Excellent programming skills in PythonExperience in building and maintaining Python applications and servicesA strong understanding of databases and software development methodsBS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subjectAbility to work independently and remotelyExcellent communication and problem-solving skills
