Job Summary InnoVet Health, a small and growing business that provides health IT professional services to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is looking for a functional analyst or developer with FHIR experience who can map existing data exchanges to FHIR standard. The position offers stimulating data mapping and integration projects, in a rich healthcare environment. This position is full-time and does not require relocating (work remotely). Responsibilities Must be able to map existing data exchanges to the FHIR standard. Ability to easily navigate the HL7.org documentation on Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources® (FHIR®) R4, map and conform existing JSON/Data points and other data exchanges, resources, and properties to the FHIR standard. Ability to produce data samples from existing production systems, understand the changes that need to be implemented to conform those exchanges to FHIR and collaborate with other system engineers on integration discussions. Analyzing existing systems, performing gap analysis, identifying improvement opportunities. Developing change management plans for technology solutions Ability to guide clients providing decisions what can be converted into FHIR bi-directionally with enough proof of concepts. Should be able to propose what FHIR Implementation guides and extensions to use. Appropriately communicate project status, escalate issues, and manage timelines and action items Develop, document, and maintain best practices, project standards, procedures, application, quality objectives and lessons learned.
Qualifications 4+ years of experience with analyzing and designing information systems and software, in an Agile development environment Experience mapping data elements to FHIR Experience with JSON, RESTful web services and web technologies (XML, RDF). Familiarity with the HL7 standard (V2, V3, CDA) and CRM / Dynamics 365 is preferred. 4+ years of experience with business stakeholders, collecting, evaluating business needs and processes. Knowledge of structured analysis and design methodologies Ability to communicate and collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and project members Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Experience working with VA is a plus. Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a plus.
