Overview:AMAKA is a pioneering social media and creator platform designed to empower andconnect Pan-African Creators worldwide. We are in search of a skilled Front EndDeveloper to spearhead the development and refinement of our platform's userinterface and experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in front endtechnologies, a strong eye for design, and a passion for creating seamless andengaging user experiences.Responsibilities:

Front End Development:● Lead the design and implementation of user-facing features, ensuringhigh performance, responsiveness, and scalability.● Collaborate closely with back end developers and designers totranslate UI/UX designs into functional elements of the platform.

UI/UX Optimization:● Work collaboratively with the design team to iterate on UI/UX designs,providing input and feedback to enhance user engagement andsatisfaction.● Implement best practices for front end development to ensure aconsistent and intuitive user experience across different devices andscreen sizes.

Code Quality and Optimization:● Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to codingstandards and best practices.● Optimize front end performance to enhance loading times and overalluser experience.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:● Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers,designers, and QA engineers, to deliver high-quality features andenhancements on time and within scope.● Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning,daily stand-ups, and sprint reviews.

Continuous Learning:● Stay abreast of emerging front end technologies, tools, and trends, andincorporate them into the development process as appropriate.● Share knowledge and insights with team members to foster a cultureof continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:● Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in front end development, witha proven track record of building responsive web applications.● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a relatedfield (preferred).● Front End Technologies: Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, andframeworks/libraries such as React, Next js, Tailwind, MUI, and Typescript.● you can also add Next Js, at some point we need to move to Next Js● UI/UX Understanding: Demonstrated understanding of UI/UX principles andexperience collaborating with design teams to implement user-centricdesigns.● Agile Experience: Familiarity with agile development methodologies andexperience working in cross-functional teams.● Remote Work Experience: Proven ability to excel in a remote workenvironment, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
