Power BI Developer Job Description:

The Power BI Developer, Python, API is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data-driven reporting and visualization solutions using Power BI and Python programming languages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, Power BI, Python development, and working with APIs. Key responsibilities include:

1. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze data requirements, and translate them into Power BI data models and visualizations.2. Developing and maintaining Power BI reports, dashboards, and data models using Python programming languages and libraries, such as pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib.3. Designing and implementing APIs to connect Power BI with various data sources, ensuring secure and efficient data retrieval and integration.4. Collaborating with development teams to implement best practices in data analysis, visualization, and reporting, including data governance, data quality, and data security.5. Developing custom Python scripts and functions to automate data processing, transformation, and analysis tasks, and integrate them into Power BI reports and dashboards.6. Creating and maintaining documentation for Power BI reports, dashboards, and Python scripts, ensuring clarity and consistency across projects.7. Providing technical support and training to internal and external stakeholders on Power BI reports, dashboards, and Python-based data analysis processes.8. Continuously improving data analysis and visualization solutions by staying up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new features in Power BI and Python.9. Identifying and assessing emerging technologies and tools in the data analysis and visualization domain, and recommending their adoption when appropriate.10. Troubleshooting and resolving complex data-related issues, and providing guidance to development teams on data quality, security, and compliance.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.2. Strong proficiency in Python programming, including experience with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and matplotlib.3. Extensive experience with Power BI, including data modeling, report development, and dashboard design.4. Experience with APIs, including RESTful APIs, OAuth, and other authentication and authorization protocols.5. Familiarity with data analysis techniques, data visualization best practices, and data governance principles.6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.8. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.9. Certifications in Power BI, Python, or other relevant technologies are a plus.
