OverviewHire Python is looking for a skilled Django Developer to join our team on a full-time basis. This remote position requires a developer with expertise in building high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications. You will be part of a talented software team that works on mission-critical applications. Django developer roles and responsibilities include managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end.

Key ResponsibilitiesWriting reusable, testable, and efficient code using Django Web framework.Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic.Implementation of security and data protection.Integration of data storage solutions which may include databases, key-value stores, blob stores, etc.Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation.Work collaboratively with design team to understand end user requirements to provide technical solutions and for the implementation of new software features.

Technical Requirements

Core Skills & KnowledgeStrong proficiency in Python with a solid understanding of the Django framework.Good understanding of server-side templating languages such as Jinja 2 or Mako.Familiarity with some ORM (Object Relational Mapper) libraries.Able to integrate multiple data sources and databases into a single system.Understanding of the threading limitations of Python, and multi-process architecture.Familiarity with event-driven programming in Python.Strong unit test and debugging skills.Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.Experience in creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.

Preferred ExperienceA minimum of 3-5 years of experience in web development and at least 2 years of experience using Django.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.Experience with Django REST framework for developing APIs.Experience in front-end technologies, such as JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.Knowledge of user authentication and authorization between multiple systems, servers, and environments.Integration of multiple data sources and databases into one system.Experience deploying Python applications into production environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
