Roles and Responsibilities:Must have Sugar platform's architecture and documentation on granular concepts in Sugar such as logic hooks, caching, logging, extensions, job queue, and more.Sugar® is built on open standards and technology such as HTML5, PHP, and JavaScript, and runs on a variety of free and open-source technology like Linux, MySQL, and Elasticsearch. The Sugar platform also supports common proprietary databases such as Oracle, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server.Work with the product and data science team to design new services and new features for our AI platform.Understand business requirements and translate them into new feature designs and development level requirements.Research and experiment with new technologies and their potential use within the platform.Perform code reviews.Ensuring code standards are followed on all code.Expertise you will bring in:Advanced degree in computer science or a related discipline.Experience in Distributed Systems Architecture and Scaling/Performance Engineering.5+ years of experience in minimum one of the following languages: Python, Java, NodeJS.Strong knowledge of designing and working with SQL and NoSQL databases. (Bonus for Time Series/Graph DB)Experience in building data pipelines and preferably also in data architecture, data modeling & data governance.Experience with microservices and orchestration.Experience in writing User Stories and System Requirements.
