We are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining database solutions to support our business applications. The SQL Developer will work closely with our development team, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into efficient database designs and queries. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in SQL development, data modelling, performance tuning, and database administration.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support business applications.Perform database design and data modelling to ensure optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.Collaborate with software developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into database solutions.Optimize SQL queries and database performance through indexing, query optimization, and other performance tuning techniques.Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, including identifying and resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies.Implement database security best practices to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.Develop and maintain documentation for database design, data flows, and processes.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends related to database development and administration.

RequirementsBachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.Proven experience as a SQL Developer or Database Developer in a professional environment.Strong proficiency in SQL programming and database concepts.Experience with relational database management systems (e.g., Azure SQL database Microsoft SQL Server,).Familiarity with database design principles and data modelling techniques.Experience with performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries and databases.Solid understanding of database security best practices.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate) are a plus.
