BI&Big Data Developer

Role DescriptionThis is a full-time remote role for a BI&Big Data Developer. The BI&Big Data Developer will be responsible for building, testing, and establishing scalable and optimized data models, as well as ensuring the availability, reliability, and confidentiality of data systems. The BI&Big Data Developer will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to analyze and interpret complex data problems and develop innovative and effective solutions.

QualificationsProficiency with SQL, Python, and at least one big data processing language (e.g. Spark, Hive, Pig)Solid experience with data warehousing, data modeling, and ETL developmentExperience with any of the big data platforms (AWS EMR, Hadoop, etc.), and ability to design and optimize data pipelines on these platformsFamiliarity with data visualization techniques and tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, etc.)Solid understanding of statistical modeling and data mining techniques (e.g. regression, clustering, decision trees, etc.)Proficiency in Linux/UNIX shell scripting and version control tools (e.g. Git)Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related fieldStrong problem solving and analytical skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration skillsExperience with distributed systems and multi-threaded programming is a plusExperience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is a plus
