eLearning Developer | Canberra | Hybrid / Offsite / Remote | Citizens

Job Description:

The department is seeking an eLearning Developer who will be responsible for providing high-quality development and administration of the online delivery elements of the department. This is an exciting opportunity to develop staff and programs that directly impact the operational success of staff within the department in Australia, and to staff undertaking passport functions at overseas posts. The variety of work is interesting, challenging and varied.

Demonstrated skills in the following technologies:

Required

Learner Management System (LMS) experience with Moodle and Oracle based systemsWeb design skills including HTML, HTML5, JavaScript and CSSMultimedia development including interactive learning objects with tools such as Adobe Premier, Vyond and VideoscribeGraphic and visual design skills with Photoshop and Adobe Creative CloudExperience applying Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 to eLearning modules and online tools Desirable:

Experience using web authoring tools such as Adobe DreamweaverAdvanced skills with Microsoft office tools, such as word and excelCurrent training qualifications or the ability/willingness to undertake Certificate IV in Training and AssessmentMinimum of 5 years’ experience in developing eLearning packagesThe ability to build and maintain assessment tools and evaluation surveys in an LMS or external systems such as Survey manager. Key duties Develop eLearning modules and online support packages using eLearning authoring tools, web authoring tools and eLearning technologiesModify and enhance existing eLearning packages using current and emerging technologies, applying knowledge of adult learning principles and best practices whilst remaining consistent with the concepts of operational areas that package is being developed forDesign and develop online training on new and existing technology to colleagues and support staffResearch and recommend new technologies in the field of online learningContribute to the development of team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer-term activities
