We are searching for a Chief Android Developer to join our remote team.

The position involves developing and supporting a highly-rated customer Android native app. The ideal candidate should have deep knowledge of Android development, Java, App Components, UI frameworks, developer tools, and workflows. You will work with both local and remote teams, requiring leadership skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

Playing a key role in the development and support of the customer's Android native appActive participation in the development of next-generation applicationsTeam collaboration across functions to ensure project successAlignment of app development with customer needs and industry standardsKeeping pace with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure app relevanceProviding mentorship and guidance to less experienced team membersTaking on a leadership role in projects as needed

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience in Mobile App DevelopmentA minimum of 2 years' experience leading software development teams, showcasing strong leadership skillsExpertise in Android, App Components, UI frameworks, developer tools, and workflowsDeep understanding of JavaMastery of Android Design Patterns, Google's Design Guidelines, and Google Play Developer Program PoliciesExperience with networking, local data caching, and multitasking on AndroidFamiliarity with 3rd party libraries and servicesKnowledge and experience working with Agile processesAbility to work effectively in a dynamic team environment, with both local and remote team membersProficient English language skills for efficient communication with team members and stakeholders

Nice to have

Practical development experience on other mobile platformsDevelopment skills in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
