Android/Java Mobile Engineer

Job Description

As an Android Software Engineer, you will join our Driver mobile app team. This team provides for fleet companies solution so a driver can do his day-to-day operations based on a combination of a mobile and inhouse developed IOT device. In parallel you will also work on the Traveler App, which provides innovative solutions to get passengers efficiently to their destination in an autonomous world. From the booking experience to boarding or interacting with robotaxis, smart shuttles, or other automated transit systems, the team delivers state-of-the-art UX and functionalities to ensure a confident and satisfying traveler journey.

Your Responsibilities

Building and supporting our Android mobile application for the driver persona in the fleet industry, alongside the mobile traveler appParticipating in the entire software development lifecycle within an agile team, including assisting product specialists with requirements, engaging in UX discussions, contributing to sprint planning and retrospectivesEstablishing best practices and user interfaces that result in a robust, usable, and secure systemCollaborating closely with our UX designer to define and maintain visual guidelines, ensuring consistency throughout the appMonitoring and improving the quality of our codebase, as well as helping define and maintain a coding standardAiding in diagnosing and addressing complex issues in the existing Android mobile app, working alongside other teams to understand the broader end-to-end picture

Our Requirements

Relevant experience in mobile development on Android with a strong focus on Java and Kotlin, including mobile architecture (MVP/MVVM) and reactive programming (RxJava/Coroutines/Flow)High emphasis on quality, with experience in mobile testing frameworks and servicesA keen eye for details and a strong UX sensibilityWillingness to quickly grasp and understand the typical business operations of traveler apps and driver fleet solutionsAgile mindset and experience working effectively within an agile setupProficiency in English with excellent communication skills
