About UsNetMidas is a software services company based in Colombia since 2007. We have created digital products, built remote teams, and provided augmented staffing services for a broad range of clients, including large multinationals (including Apple), startups, and international NGOs. Now we are looking for a seasoned Rust Developer to work directly with an exciting international client.

RequirementsMust Haves:Strong ability to communicate in English (Professional English proficiency)Strong proficiency in Rust programming language.Proven experience as a Rust Developer or similar role.Solid understanding of systems programming concepts, including memory management, threading, and low-level optimizations.Experience with asynchronous programming and concurrent systems in Rust.Familiarity with web development frameworks and libraries in Rust (e.g., Actix, Rocket).Understanding of version control systems, preferably Git.

Soft Skills:Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Previous experience working with international clientsAbility to work cross-functionally, independently, and effectively as an individual contributor in a team environment and meet tight deadlinesSelf-motivated, adaptable, and proactive, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

Nice to haves:Experience with other programming languages (e.g., C, C++, Python) is a plus.Familiarity with networking protocols and socket programming.Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Contribution to open-source projects or a strong portfolio of personal projects.

Compensation, Contract, TermsUSD 40 per hour, paid monthly.Contract: Freelance (prestación de servicios) with our company in the US.Full-time position (40 hours/week). Start date: April/May 2024
