We are seeking an iOS Engineer for a remote contract opportunity to join our client’s mobile engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a natural inclination for problem-solving to work directly on enhancing the video streaming experience of an expanding mobile customer base. This is a very stereotypical iOS developer role.

2+ years of iOS development experience, deep familiarity with Xcode, iOS platform/UIKit and experience working with an agile scrum team.

Other Skills/Nice to Haves:

This role does not work with Swift UI yet but would be nice to have.

Your Day-to-Day:

Technical development, debugging, and delivery of best-in-class tvOS and iOS native applicationsUnit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliabilityDeliver top-quality tvOS and iOS native applicationsCollaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new featuresWork closely with your team to ensure the timely delivery of features and improvementsFoster a positive work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvementExplore, evaluate, and implement new technologies to optimize development efficiency and productivityPerform implementation of upgrades, rebuilds, and additional porting of applicationsEffectively manage multiple tasks and projects in a results-driven environmentDevelop technical requirements documentation based on product requirementsCultivate strong working relationships with colleagues, customers (internal and external), and company managementPerform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

Qualifications:

What you bring to the team:

2+ years of iOS development experienceExcellent programming skills in SwiftIn-depth knowledge of the iOS platform and deep familiarity with XcodeSound programming fundamentals: experience working with memory management, multi-threaded programming, animations, etc.Experience working on UI design for all size-classes using storyboards and xibsActed as a key contributor to at least one publically released native iPhone applicationExperience in consuming RESTful APIs to connect with back-end services.Experience working with Agile development processesExcellent interpersonal skills; able to work well with non- technical members of the development team.

You might also have:

BS/BA degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or equivalent experienceBackground supporting the integration of rich media assets, including video, into mobile propertiesExperience integrating ad serving products and analytics/reporting tools in building iOS appsContinuous Build & Test Automation experienceExperience working with entertainment, games, news, or sports-related properties preferredUnderstanding of streaming video and DRM conceptsKnowledge of Localization practices and concepts in XcodeExperience with Swift Package Manager.
