Splunk is here to build a safer and more resilient digital world. The world's leading enterprises use our unified security and observability platform to keep their digital systems secure and reliable. While customers love our technology, it's our people that make Splunk stand out as an amazing career destination and why we've won so many awards as a best place to work. If you become a Splunker, we want your whole, authentic self, what we call your "million data points". So bring your work experience, problem-solving skills and talent, of course, but also bring your joy, your passion and all the things that make you, you.
Role Summary
Splunk is seeking someone with experience monitoring infrastructure and/or web applications to help connect engineers, developers, and practitioners to our world-class Observability products. If you’ve written blog posts, given conference presentations, or otherwise connected with a technical audience and want to do more, this is the opportunity for you.
In this role, you will connect with developers (in every sense of that word,) build a meaningful community with them, and educate them about observability and Splunk’s unique approach to it. You will be responsible for creating content targeted at people who use observability platforms every day (like SREs, software engineers, and platform engineers). This will primarily focus on detailed, how-to articles that help our customers learn how to monitor their applications in a fast, efficient way.
Your goals will be to make sure that new users of our observability tools can feel confident that they know what to do and how to start getting value from them. You’ll learn how to integrate Splunk’s observability products with third-party applications and open-source projects, then communicate that through written articles and demos, and maybe even through speaking at events. You’ll also engage with observability customers through Splunk’s community forum and Slack, making sure that they feel like there’s someone “on the inside” at Splunk they can talk to.
You should have a passion for storytelling through product, a fun, positive attitude, and you should also genuinely enjoy helping other people figure stuff out.
