Senior Laravel Developer (SaaS - eCommerce)

We are a startup SaaS company based in Melbourne, Australia, looking for a Senior Developer to join our team. As the third developer and reporting directly to the Founder, you'll be responsible for designing the backend microservice architecture, database and working closely with the DevOps engineer. You'll also be integrating with platforms such as eBay, Amazon, Magento, Shopify, TradeMe, Walmart, Wayfair and the like. Responsibilities

As our Senior Developer, you'll be responsible for:

Developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining our backend system, ensuring the highest standards of quality, performance, and security are maintainedIntegrating with platforms such as eBay, Amazon, Magento, Shopify, TradeMe, Walmart, Wayfair and the like Continuously monitoring and improving application performance, scalability, and securityStaying up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in application development and AI and sharing knowledge with the teamCollaborating closely with the Founder to deliver high-quality products in a timely fashionConducting code reviews and providing constructive feedback

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience in web application development, with a focus on modern Laravel PHP developmentExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholdersStrong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions to complex problemsYou are motivated and thrive when given autonomy to executeAre interested in building products aimed at ambitious eCommerce businessesNice to Have:Familiarity with Angular, React, GraphQL and Tailwind. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDBExperience with serverless architectures, AWS Lambda, S3, RDS, Redis

Our hiring process is intentionally designed to be simple, effective, and respectful of everyone's time. The process begins with a Zoom interview to get to know the candidate and their skills better. After that, candidates will be given a code challenge to complete. Finally, candidates who successfully complete the code challenge will be invited to a technical interview to discuss their experience and skills in more detail.
