Your role:As an active member of TELUS International, you will be in the heart of a major TELUStransformation program supporting it as an Android Developer.TELUS is looking for a qualified professional to fill a developer position in ourInformation Systems Development team. The developer will provide analysis, design,development, testing, deployment, documentation, and application support for thesystems and projects.

Responsibilities:● Develop scalable, testable, and reliable solutions● Follow best practices and improve application performance● Research, identify, and recommend industry best practices for solving technicalproblems● Work very closely with architecture groups and deliver solutions● Apply design patterns, best practices and development frameworks andtechniques● Participate as a developer in software engineering phases including requirementsanalysis, architecture & application design● Build reusable components, frameworks and libraries which can be leveragedacross departments● Mentor junior resources - having the ability to share best practices to upscaleteam members

Requirements:● 5 years of Android Development ● Exposure to the development of applications across different form factors(mobile, tablet, etc) supporting different Android versions● Experience with performance tuning, power consumption & material UI (is a plus)● Experience working with Android fragments● Working experience with Rest APIs integrations and third-party libraries such asDagger, Picaso, Firebase, SQLite, etc● Strong knowledge of Google’s Android design principles and guidelines● Understanding of latest in Android development● Experience with Compose and Kotlin
