We are seeking a talented and motivated Backend Developer to join our passionate team based in the Netherlands. As a Backend Developer at Formify, you will play a key role in shaping the user interface and overall user experience of our platform. This role will be hired primarily on a remote basis, but there will be a requirement from time to time to attend in-person meetings, likely in Amsterdam or Rotterdam. Responsibilities:Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable backend solutions.Design, develop, test, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices to support the functionality of our platform.Optimize and scale backend systems for performance and reliability to meet the growing demands of our user base.Implement security best practices to ensure the integrity and confidentiality of user data.Work with databases, both relational and NoSQL, to manage and query data efficiently.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying new knowledge to continuously improve our backend architecture. Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years proven experience as a Backend Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work on scalable and reliable systems.Proficiency in at least one backend programming language (e.g., PHP, JavaScript, Typescript).Experience with database design and optimization (SQL and/or NoSQL).Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Knowledge of RESTful API design and microservices architecture.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
