Senior Web Developer (Canada, New Zealand)

Job Description

We are seeking a talented Senior Web Developer to join our team at Matomo. You will be involved with the maintenance and improvement of a large number of projects using PHP, Mysql, JavaScript, CSS and WordPress, contribute to the overall user experience of our client's open-source analytics service, provide high-level support for their users, take ownership of technical issues, and refine our client's website design and features.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and improve projects using PHP, javascript, CSS and Wordpress Provide high-level support for customers Collaborate with team members and coach and mentor as needed Participate in scrum process and meetings Participate in code reviews Maintain and improve our matomo.org, shop.matomo.org, plugins.matomo.org, developer.matomo.org websites Maintain and improve our Matomo for WordPress product Work on other projects as needed

Skills And Qualifications

3+ years experience in Wordpress development 5+ years commercial experience in PHP, javascript and CSS application development (full stack) Leadership or mentorship experience Experience using databases and SQL Skilled at writing automated tests Ideally strong analytical skills and a passion to understand complex business logic Familiar with Linux command line Ability to work independently
