About the Role:The Senior Web Developer role is pivotal in enhancing the company's online presence and ensuring a seamless user experience. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining 4 company websites using WordPress and JavaScript, integrating eCommerce frameworks to bolster the online sales platform, and collaborating with marketing and design teams to convert concepts into engaging and functional web designs.

Key Responsibilities:▪ Develop, maintain and upgrade websites using WordPress, JavaScript, and eCommerce frameworks▪ Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to craft engaging web experiences▪ Implement UI/UX designs to create visually appealing and user-friendly web pages▪ Optimise website performance for speed and responsiveness▪ Ensure the website is SEO-friendly and implement strategies to improve search engine rankings▪ Integrate eCommerce functionalities to support online sales and transactions

Requirements:▪ Proven experience as a Web Developer, with expertise in WordPress and JavaScript▪ Experience with headless WordPress architecture and API development▪ Strong understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles▪ Proficiency in web optimisation techniques and SEO best practices▪ Proficiency in building APIs to facilitate data exchange between front-end and back-end systems▪ Strong communication and interpersonal skills▪ Experience with Git version control is a plus

Additional Requirements:▪ Familiarity with RESTful API principles and best practices.▪ Ability to design, implement, and document scalable and secure APIs.▪ Experience with integrating third-party services and APIs into web applications.▪ Knowledge of server-side languages (e.g., Node.js, PHP) and frameworks (e.g., Express.js) for API development.▪ Understanding of database management systems, such as MySQL or MongoDB, for API data storage and retrieval.
