Senior Looker Developer

We are seeking an experienced Looker Developer with 6-10 years of proven expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and maintenance of Looker-based data solutions and analytics dashboards. Collaborating closely with stakeholders, the Looker Developer will translate business requirements into robust data models and create insightful visualizations to drive data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:Lead the development and maintenance of LookML models for data exploration and visualization in Looker.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into effective Looker dashboards.Design and develop advanced, interactive visualizations to present data in a clear and actionable format.Implement and enforce data governance best practices within Looker, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and security.Optimize Looker performance and troubleshoot issues to maintain the smooth functioning of dashboards and reports.Conduct training sessions and provide expert-level support to end-users on utilizing Looker for self-service analytics.Stay abreast of Looker platform updates and industry best practices, recommending and implementing new features and functionalities as needed.Drive data integration efforts, including connecting Looker to various data sources and optimizing ETL processes for efficiency.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.6-10 years of progressive experience as a Looker Developer, with a strong portfolio of LookML models and dashboards.Expertise in SQL for complex data querying, manipulation, and optimization.Extensive experience with data visualization best practices and tools, particularly Looker.In-depth knowledge of data warehouse concepts and hands-on experience with data modeling.Proficient in ETL processes and data integration techniques.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor junior team members.Looker certification(s) is highly desirable.
