As a C-Cloud Developer you will research, design, and implement solutions for our industry leading XPP Publishing software. You will use your knowledge of cloud and cloud technologies, algorithms, data structures, and C to help build functionality for the product and its cloud offering counterpart. You will maintain and build efficient and scalable code to process content and create published output in pdf and other formats.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop core services and components with expertise in C and Cloud technologiesTroubleshoot and debug complex issues; identify and implement solutionsInterface with your cross-functional team to ensure implementations meet business requirements, solution architecture and designWork with the SCRUM master and product owner to provide development sizing & cost analysis estimatesWork closely with product owner, architect, and team members to decompose stories, design features and prioritize tasksDeliver new concepts and features, working alongside development peers in an agile environmentCreate, maintain and ensure adherence to development, coding, testing and automation standardsLead, guide, mentor, and motivate other development team members including performing design and code reviewsUtilize automated software test tools and frameworks such as test-driven development to achieve the highest quality in software deliveryUnderstand technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business and operating models

Skills & Experience

5+ years’ experience C developmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsA strong foundation in algorithms, design patterns and data structuresStrong understanding of asynchrony, concurrency, and parallelismExperience with Linux (RHEL) and WindowsExceptional problem-solving and analytical abilities.Ability to collaborate with other developers and guide junior team members.Strong delegation and time management skillsAbility to propose and estimate the impact of solution alternativesAbility to apply multiple technical solutions to business problemsAbility to quickly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologiesExperience in all phases of the software development process as a member of a Scrum teamTeam-player with strong interpersonal skills comfortable working as part of distributed teamBachelor’s Degree in computer science or a related discipline

As a plus

Experience in Cloud Platform development principles, platforms and tools (AWS, Azure, GCP)Experience with the design, development, and maintenance of REST APIsExperience with Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code (such as Helm, Terraform, CloudFormation)Experience with publishing and/or content management applicationsExperience with Java, React, Perl, Python, XSLT, NodeJSExperience developing applications using GTK, MSYS, CMakeExperience with Jira/Confluence/GIT
