Job Overview:We’re looking for an experienced Backend Engineer who enjoys working alongside other experienced engineers and designers to iterate and build across our entire tech stack. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in back-end operations, building, maintaining, and optimizing APIs, with proficiency in Java, message-queueing, and container management systems. You will design and build powerful and scalable sets of applications and APIs, enabling rich features to extend Viewstats to be even more useful as a connected workspace for Creators who rely on us every day. You will maintain and improve our product and everything behind the scenes having a huge and direct impact by shipping your work to users daily. This position also involves collaborating closely with our data science team to provide them with the necessary data to support their projects and initiatives.

Need To Have:Ability to communicate comfortably in English and experience collaborating with a full English speaking teamExpertise programming in JavaStrong history managing large datasets in SQL databasesExperience working with a major cloud provider (e.g. GCP, AWS, Azure)Knowledge of the containerization ecosystem (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)Deep understanding of HTTP and HTTP APIsProficient in Message-queueing software (e.g. RabbitMQ or Apache Kafka)Ability to build, deploy and maintain distributed and scalable system architecturesFamiliarity with different development patterns and architectures

Nice to Have:Strong understand of backend error tracking and monitoringExperience working on AI focused projects in PythonSelf-driven and thrive in fast-paced environmentsUnderstanding of web security best practices
