Senior Java Developer with Oracle and Kafka

Project descriptionWe are looking for a Senior Kafka Developer for our client - one of the world's largest natural resource companies.

You will be a part of a cross-functional team responsible for maintaining and modernization of existing trading platform. It is a long-term project that will require close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders and the implementation of new features.

ResponsibilitiesAssess business requirements and provide development estimatesTranslate user requirements to user stories and technical taskWork closely with BA and QA teams to deliver fit-for-purpose technical solutionsDeliver quality code changes according to the timescales providedProvide regular updates regarding development progressAct as part of the project team and be fully supportive to other members within the team

SkillsMust have5+ years of relevant experience (ideal candidate should have 10 years)Java 17+Strong Oracle knowledge proven by the project workHands-on experience with Kafka proven by the project workExperience with integration projects with significant data transformationsJava 8/11 experienceCDC connectors (Oracle)Kubernetes deployment and configurationSpring Boot 3+Defining interfaces with open APIExperience in building business-critical end-user systemsEnglish written and spoken on the business levelDegree in computer science/engineering (or equivalent)Exposure to integration frameworks such as Apache Camel or Spring Cloud Data Flow
