W2 Contract

Salary Range: $124,800 - $145,600 per year

Location: Seattle, WA - Remote Role

Job Summary:

Our MLPT Polymer group supports a range of Machine Learning platform products. These are all internal production tools supported via multiple Polymer offerings, including authentication (Notary), authorization (Directory), collaboration (Squad) services, and other Data Platform systems. Our ML ecosystem has increasingly adopted Polymer services over the past few years. Our team is small, with more than one service per FTE engineer. Critical objectives within the team relate to each service, including availability, efficient scaling, and performance and latency for our customers. With this milestone also comes the need for high-quality tooling and the ability to respond swiftly to runtime situations. As our team size is small and all FTE resources are focused on P1 feature development and high SLA support for our customers, we need an experienced contractor to build and operate new tooling.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Build Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools for product feature releases. Create a Data Migration Utility to increase the robustness of our customer data's availability in bootstrapping and disaster recovery stages. Build a Monitoring and Change Verification Utility to keep track of the fidelity of our data concerning deployed changes. Enhance the deployment process to ensure zero downtime, including automated blue/green deployments with rollbacks. Provide operational support for Kubernetes-based (multi-cloud) services and various data backends, including runbooks, monitoring, and alerting. Extend coverage for service/client-based integration tests. Implement automated performance framework and tests to identify and prevent the release of performance regressions. Implement service monitoring, integration testing, release automation, and final release.

Requirements and Qualifications:

5-7 years of experience in Python, Golang, and Kubernetes Development Experience working with Git, GitHub, and CI/CD Pipelines Operational experience with cloud-based service infrastructure
