Senior Java Full Stack Developer

Cognizant Digital Engineering practice is looking to hire a Senior Full Stack Developer with proven experience Java, Spring Boot and Microservices framework, and experienced with front end and back end frameworks.

Responsibilities

Works closely with Architects, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Value Stream Managers to provide insight into delivering business value and meeting objectives.Decomposes functional and technical requirements into project activities and tasks and provides conceptual design, prototype, and test cycles appropriate to a chosen technical solution.Identifies technical risks and develops mitigation strategies; introduces and recommends industry best practices and standards for the project.Lead a team of software engineers in the design, development, and implementation of multiple applications.Supports the Project Manager as the technical team lead on the project. Estimates the technical costs of projects for clients and project managers.

Qualifications

6+ years of software design and development, software test and evaluation, software requirements management.Experience developing 12-factor microservices while utilizing Continuous Integration, Build, and Delivery with Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.Experience with Spring related technologies such as Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Integration.Experience in developing REST and SOAP APIs.Experience working in Apache Kafka/Confluent platform including Kafka consumer, Kafka Streams.Experience utilizing platform and infrastructure-as-a-service technologies AWS, Azure cloud and their corresponding services.Experience in writing automation scripts using Postman Collection for API/Microservices testing.Experience with iterative and incremental development on product-focused teams practicing code reviews.Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and translate feedback, needs and solutions.Ability to lead in an Agile environment.Experience in production support that has high visibility/SLAs.Strong teamwork focus and the ability to foster collaboration within and across teams.Creative problem-solving skills that deliver elegant solutions to complex issues.

Salary And Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $43,900 – $129,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.

The Role And Responsibilities:

The SWAT – Root Cause Engineer is responsible to lead electrical issue identification and resolution for all electrical features on a program line to ensure successful vehicle launch while working with various Engineering Support teams that include systems, wiring, design release and validation engineers, Program Management, and Manufacturing teams as required to support and launch vehicle programs. Responsibilities include:

Rapid troubleshooting / triage of vehicle electrical systems including Wiring issues Electrical component issues Assembly plant issues Vehicle networking issues Vehicle System issues Support of vehicle launches, durability fleets, and prototype vehicles Drive identified issues to closure

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science Knowledge of CAN based communication and tools Experience with multimeters and oscilloscopes Outstanding communication and organization skills Self-starter with ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of CAN-FD Knowledge of Ethernet protocol
