Description:Join our team in supporting the Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT) and the Department of Corrections with their vital DOC Portal system. We are seeking a skilled and experienced .NET Developer to help maintain and enhance this critical centralized website, which serves as a primary interface for external customers accessing various functions provided by the Department of Corrections.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with business analysts and developers to produce software designs.- Formulate program specifications and basic prototypes in alignment with project requirements.- Transform software designs and specifications into high-functioning code using the .NET family of languages.- Integrate individual software solutions into higher-level systems for seamless functionality.- Utilize web-based tools to create and advance applications, ensuring optimal performance and user experience.- Test code periodically to ensure it meets desired results and perform debugging when necessary.- Perform upgrades to enhance software and system security and efficiency.- Modernize existing applications by rewriting them in newer technologies as needed.- Provide knowledge transfer to team members as necessary.
Desired Qualifications:- Four (4) years of experience with .NET development.- Four (4) years of experience with Entity Framework.- Three (3) years of experience with SQL Server / T-SQL.- Two (2) years of experience with ASP.NET Web Forms.- Experience in the Criminal Justice field is preferred.- Familiarity with the full Software Development Lifecycle.- Experience with Data Extract Transfer Load (ETL) processes.- Proficiency in SQL Server Reporting Services.- Knowledge and experience in secure software development methodologies.- Current residence status within reasonable driving distance of St. Paul, MN.
