WordPress Developer

Job Description:We seek a dedicated WordPress Developer to join our dynamic team in building and maintaining a high-performance telehealth portal. The candidate will be responsible for the back-end development of our site, working in tandem with a UI/UX designer to create a seamless and engaging experience for our users. A strong understanding of industry standards, API integrations, and WordPress best practices is essential.

Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain our WordPress-based telehealth platform.• Collaborate closely with our UI/UX designer to integrate front-end elements with server-side logic and functionality.• Implement internal and external APIs to enhance platform capabilities.• Maintain well-documented, reusable, and transferable code.• Ensure the platform meets all technical and consumer use-related expectations.• Uphold data security and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, such as HIPAA, in all development processes.• Optimize the platform for maximum speed, scalability, and security.• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software to ensure strong optimization and functionality.• Stay informed of emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them to operations and activities.

Qualifications:• Proven experience in WordPress development, including custom theme and plugin development.• Expertise in PHP and MySQL.• Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, JS libraries, HTML, CSS, etc.), to ensure effective collaboration with the UI/UX team.• Proficiency in interacting with RESTful APIs.• Strong knowledge of WordPress security best practices.• Experience with responsive and adaptive design principles.• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
