What you will be working on
You will join the project team of one of Cegeka’s customers from the insurance sector. Our client wants to work together with Cegeka to integrate its IT landscape with Azure Integrations Services (API Management, Logic Apps, Function Apps,…). By mergers and acquisitions it has acquired various IT stacks over the years which are poorly integrated at the moment. Our client uses Java as its standard dev language. This specific project focuses on their financial department. We are currently looking for a senior Java developer, who is keen to shape integrations. Knowledge of Azure is considered a big plus.
What you will doDesign and develop new features in line with the functional requirements and architectureFollow team coding standards and best practicesWork together with the integration architect and help mapping both the customer’s architecture and business needsImplement detailed and tailormade integration processes independentlyPerform integration and User Acceptance Tests as part of your responsibilityYou are a true "software craftsman" who sees software development as a craft. You write high-quality, easily readable code and refactor where necessary. You guarantee quality through test-driven development and continuous learningActively share your knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of the team's operation.
What you need to succedYou are a passionate Senior Java Developer with 5+ years of professional experience in analysis, design, implementation and delivery of applications in Java technologyYou have a thorough knowledge of cloud development, especially Azure is considered a big plusWorking experience with Continuous Delivery (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Git Ops, Terraform)Experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) and integrations of Java applications in Cloud environmentClean code, code refactoring, automated testing (Postman/SOAPUI) it is nice to have
