Tableau Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION:Tucker-Rose Associates is seeking a Tableau Developer to help support a Federal Program within the US Department of Veterans Affairs. We are partnered with Booz Allen on this position and will allow remote work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:• Manage, maintain and support Tableau server, desktop and web applications.• Installing patches and upgrades• Creating and modifying Tableau Workbooks and charts• Granting and revoking access to Tableau• Utilize documentation tools such as; Microsoft Word, Visio, MS Project, Microsoft SharePoint and templates to support project documentations.• Update or create project documents including project installation, modification, administration support guide, version description, interface requirements/guide, physical and logical layer diagrams and other necessary project documentation.• Develop, deliver and maintain technical documentation in written and/or electronic format to include SOPs, installation guides, process flows, illustrations, diagrams, and reports.• Maintain the contents of the SharePoint site of the assigned unit to include publish meeting agendas and notes, key schedules and other document repositories as assigned.• Create and deliver presentations with charts and illustrations for management and clients.• Leverage best practices for design of user interfaces and experience.• Write reports detailing suggested changes and improvements for new and existing applications.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required. 8 years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education• 5+ years’ experience with service orientation concepts and enabling technologies• 5+ years of experience with systems engineering, software development, and implementation• Tableau engineering skills, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support• Experience in debugging and correcting errors in computer programs. • 3+ year of experience using Agile methodologies, system architecture and object-oriented software design• 5+ years of Experience with developing reports in Tableau, to include constructing complex SQL queries using table joins and sub queries • 5+ years of experience with joining data from multiple data sources • 3+ years of experience with building SQL scripts and queries • Experience with rule and BPM engines • Experience using JIRA• Experience with Oracle DB and PL/SQL• Ability to identify and communicate impact of business needs and requirements, on current and future technical design and architecture. • Ability to obtain VA Medium-Background Investigation clearance
