Job Title: Game Developer, Mid-Level
We are a new California based agency, recently we have contracted with a game publishing company in China to develop a game for users in China. Candidates should have experience creating adventure games or role-playing games. This will be a Steam indie game. The team is less than 10 people. The development timeframe will be around 3 months, we have all the designs and game assets ready.
This will be a contract role, 30-50 hours a week. The hourly rate will be $30 - $50 depending on experience. If this game does well we would like this person to join our team for the long term. The team would like this person to understand and read Chinese, but it is not necessary. This game will be for adults with mature content, only apply if you are ok with this.
Responsibilities:
Develop game features, levels, and content using industry-standard game development software (Unity or Unreal) Work with other developers, designers, and artists to create a cohesive and polished gameTest and debug game code to ensure that it is free of bugs and errorsOptimize game performance to ensure that it runs smoothly on all target platforms
Qualification:
No college degrees required2-5 years of experience as a game developerStrong understanding of game design principles and the game development processProficiency in industry-standard game development software, such as Unity, Unreal EngineExperience with programming languages such as C++, C#, or JavaScriptStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPassion for creating engaging and immersive gaming experiences
