Automation Developer

Job Title: Automation DeveloperLocation: India (Remote)Working Hours: 8 PM to 5 AM IST (Night Shift)Schedule: Monday to FridaySalary: up to INR 1,00,000 per month (in-hand)

Position Overview:As an Automation Developer, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our applications by designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing solutions. You will work closely with our development team to identify test requirements, create test plans, and execute tests for both frontend and backend components of our Next.js and Python-based applications hosted on AWS.

Responsibilities:Develop and maintain automation scripts using industry-standard tools and frameworks to test frontend and backend functionalities of our applications.Utilize end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress for frontend testing and Pytest or other testing frameworks for backend testing.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify test requirements, create test plans, and execute test cases.Design and implement automated test suites for regression testing, functional testing, and performance testing.Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure the reliability, scalability, and maintainability of automation code.Troubleshoot and debug issues identified during testing, and work with developers to resolve them in a timely manner.Continuously research and evaluate new tools, technologies, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of automated testing processes.Contribute to the establishment and enforcement of best practices for software quality assurance and automation testing.

Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.Proven 3 years experience in developing and maintaining automation scripts for frontend and backend testing.Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript (for frontend automation) and Python (for backend automation).Hands-on experience with end-to-end testing tools such as Playwright or Cypress for frontend testing. Experience with testing frameworks such as Pytest for backend testing.Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and experience in testing backend services using tools like pytest, unittest, or requests.Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, including services like EC2, Lambda, and S3.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
