Summary of Position:We're seeking a talented Full Stack Developer with a passion for crafting elegant, well-tested code and a knack for bridging technical concepts with business objectives. As a member of our team, you'll leverage your expertise in Ruby on Rails and React to drive the development of our cutting-edge products, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that exceed expectations.

ResponsibilitiesTake point on complex product initiatives, decompose them into smaller pieces, and run them to completion with minimal supervisionDesign flexible, maintainable codeSafeguard code quality on your team, reviewing others' code with an eye to performance and maintainabilityCollaborate with engineering teams to execute against the vision and roadmapWork closely with designers and product managers to distill complex business problems into elegant technical solutionsBe part of a close-knit engineering team that ships new code into production multiple times a week

RequirementsProficiency in 2+ years of experience writing software in Ruby on Rails and React and a strong engineering backgroundFamiliarity with Redis, Heroku, Postgres, and Typesense is a plusA love of simple, well-tested code that is easy to extend and hard to breakThe ability to convey technical ideas in common terms to business partners, product managers, designers, and engineers alikeUnderstanding of performance tradeoffs, load balancing, and operational issuesKnowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent experience.Experience in product management, project management, or a related field, in a tech or startup environment is a plus.Experience with Agile delivery methodologies and concepts is nice to haveExperience with analytics tools and software is nice to haveStrong analytical skills with an ability to synthesize large amounts of data into actionable insights.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proven ability to handle ambiguity and competing priorities, managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work cross-functionally and communicate with both technical and non-technical team members.A passion for product development and an eagerness to learn and grow within a dynamic startup environment.A willingness to wear different hats that are related but adjacent to your core role.Must possess great attitude, creativity, and flexibility in meeting whatever the day brings is a must!Must be relentlessly resourceful
