Job Description

This is a full-time remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S.

At Mitchell International, we're reinventing the future of digital claim management. We're currently looking for a driven and innovative Senior Java Software Developer 1 to join our team and play a crucial role in the modernization of our ClaimIQ application. Mitchell ClaimIQ® is third party claim solution used by claims adjuster to perform liability and injury evaluations.

Responsibilities:

Developing and maintaining the application using Java and Spring Boot.Modernizing the application using best practices for cloud deployment.Migrating the UI of the application to React micro-frontend framework.Writing efficient, reusable, and reliable code.Creating and consuming RESTful web services.Working with SQL databases, building and maintaining efficient and reliable SQL code.Developing unit tests using JUnit and maintaining code quality.Assist in third-level support of applications once delivered into Production.Use test-driven development and scaled agile methods to deliver products to client requirements.Write technical specifications and test plans, as necessary.Conduct unit, integration, and functional testing.

Qualifications

BS in Computer Science or related field, MS preferred.5+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, JUnit, and REST web services.Familiarity with front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React).Experience with relational database technologies.Understanding of enterprise-scale applications.Knowledge of cloud deployment strategies, particularly those involving microservices.

The expected base pay for this position ranges from $107,089 - $125,000 annually and will be based on a number of additional factors, including skills, experience, and education.
