Role SummaryAs a .Net Developer you will work collaboratively to design, develop, test, implement and provide Production support on an extensive range of different business and mission critical systems that underpin the NHS Supply Chain delivery. You will work initially within a dynamic team delivering quality products and services to the NHS customer.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:Designing, developing, and implementing quality and innovative technical solutions for DXC customersUtilise appropriate tools and methodologies to analyse, identify and resolve technical problemsClose engagement with other key Lines of Service associated with the program deliveryProvide accurate and thorough estimates pertaining to all relevant work requestsRegular contribution to Service Improvement (SIP) program, suggesting and implementing technical innovations and general functional, technical and process driven improvementsHandle customer support issues as quickly and efficiently within contractual SLAs with appropriate solutionsInvolvement with the complete application development and support lifecycle from requirements stage through to Production SupportKeep abreast of new technologies and methodologies, and how they may be leveraged for the benefit of the customer and wider DXC

Essential Skills/QualificationsProven experience working in a technical software delivery team. Strong knowledge and essential experience in programming languages and technologies as follows: Proficient in ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, C#, MS SQL and good understanding of SQL Server databases would be beneficial. JavaScript, jQuery, jQuery UI, Bootstrap NHibernate, Entity Framework SSIS, HTML, CSS Secondary skillset in Oracle PL/SQL with good understanding of Oracle databases advantageous Desirable but not essential knowledge and experience of classic ASP and PHP. Proactive and highly organised, with strong time management and planning skills. Strong communication skills, both customer-facing and internalAble to meet tight deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
