Rules Developer - Decision EngineOverviewOne of our client's critical and highly visible initiatives is modernizing and scaling their industry-leading lending platforms. A key component of this initiative will be implementing Credit strategies into their target state decision engine. This is a hands-on role that provides an opportunity to solve complex business, data, and technical challenges. This individual will work in a dynamic, agile team that’s responsible for design, build and maintenance of Decision Rule Engines to enable business objectives. This position will require you to familiarize yourself with credit policy, existing credit decision rules, and associated data.Responsibilities:· Collaborate with product managers, credit analysts, and engineers to transform credit policy strategies into testable solutions within a low-code decision platform. · Invent and implement low-code solutions and automated tests using various tools and frameworks as part of a scrum team. · Provide research, analysis, and problem resolution in an accurate and timely manner. · Develop technical documentation, test cases, process diagrams, and demos for credit policy implementations.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related statistical field and 7+ years in financial services or other organizations with heavy use of strategy-based decision-making platforms· 5+ years’ experience using credit decision tools like Provenir, PowerCurve, IBM ODM, Drools, FICO Blaze, Zoot or other comparable decision engines (Preferred – Provenir) · 3+ years of core programming knowledge (JavaScript, Python, etc.) to implement integration logic and a strong fundamental understanding of data structures · Proficient in SQL· Exposure to machine learning execution and related analytical tools · Knowledge of cloud deployment processes, and experience working in a mature DevOps environment · Analytical, curious, open-minded, and passionate about exploring and solving problems. · Familiar and comfortable with agile practices like stand-ups, retrospectives, and demos.
