Overview
The ServiceNow Developer plays a critical role in the design, development, and customization of ServiceNow applications to meet the organization's needs. The ServiceNow Developer is responsible for leveraging the ServiceNow platform to create innovative solutions that enhance overall productivity and user experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop ServiceNow applications, integrations, and customizations based on business requirementsCollaborate with stakeholders to understand and analyze business processes and deliver efficient solutionsCreate and configure ServiceNow modules such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, and Service CatalogDevelop UI policies, client scripts, business rules, and other system customization within ServiceNowImplement and maintain ServiceNow integrations with third-party applications and systemsProvide technical expertise and support for ServiceNow platform enhancements and upgradesOptimize the performance and scalability of ServiceNow applications through continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of ServiceNow solutions with existing systemsParticipate in the full software development lifecycle including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deploymentDocument technical designs, release notes, and operational procedures related to ServiceNow applicationsStay updated with the latest ServiceNow features and functionalities to propose and implement innovative solutionsConduct troubleshooting and issue resolution to ensure uninterrupted operation of ServiceNow applicationsSupport end-users by providing training, guidance, and assistance related to ServiceNow functionality and best practices
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fieldServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) certificationProven experience in ServiceNow development and customization with a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platformProficiency in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and other web technologiesExperience in implementing and customizing IT Service Management (ITSM) processes within ServiceNowDemonstrated expertise in designing and configuring Service Catalog items, request fulfillment, and catalog workflowsStrong knowledge of ServiceNow integrations using SOAP, REST, and other technologiesAbility to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to ServiceNow applicationsExcellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersCapability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities while ensuring high-quality deliverablesExperience in Agile software development methodologies and toolsStrong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing technical challengesUnderstanding of ITIL framework and best practices for IT service delivery and supportKnowledge of ServiceNow Performance Analytics and Reporting capabilitiesExperience with ServiceNow platform upgrades, version control, and release management
