Task Description:The Mainframe Informatica ETL Developer will be part of the team supporting the Internal Revenue Services’ (IRS) seven-year, $2.6B Enterprise Development Operations Services (EDOS) contract vehicle. The program aims to modernize existing IRS IT systems, improve cybersecurity, expand advanced analytics capabilities, and overhaul critical infrastructure. The focus areas include Post-Processing, Common Service Development, and Legacy Integration.
Business Master File Modernization (BMF Mod) is one of multiple programs created to modernize the Internal Revenue Services (IRS) legacy Tax processing systems and is critical to the IRS IT Application Development (AD) and IRS IT Enterprise Service (ES) organizations' goal to support the objectives of the IRS IT Modernization Business Plan. BMF Mod's initiative will modernize IRS systems and processes, improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the Service's reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology.
ResponsibilitiesETL Development: You will perform advanced ETL development activities using Informatica, PL/SQL, and Oracle Database tuning. Your work will involve designing, implementing, testing, and maintaining ETL components for multiple applications.Integration: Leverage your knowledge of core mainframe technologies such as z/OS, Assembly Language, DB2, QSAM, and IMS to integrate data from legacy systems into modern ETL pipelines.PowerCenter Development: Develop and enhance ETLs from various sources to an Oracle data warehouse using Informatica PowerCenter.Testing and Troubleshooting: Plan and conduct Informatica ETL unit and development tests. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing subject areas.Analysis and Support: Provide data analysis to support new project definition/design. Offer post-production application support as required.to Standards: Follow established standards and best practices, providing input for process improvement.
QualificationsU.S. CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT ALIEN (No H1 visa holders).Education: A relevant degree such as Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or Information Systems.years of Mainframe ETL Development (Informatica) experience5+ years of work experience demonstrating knowledge of AWS Cloud, z/OS, Assembly Language, DB2, QSAM, IMS, CA Endevor, BMC Control-M, JCL, and other core mainframe IBM technologiesCertifications: MBI Clearance, and certifications like Informatica BODS, SAP, or related credentials are preferred.
