Node.JS developer with AWS Lambda is responsible for software development implementation, unit testing, and debugging. This involves writing code following best practices and design patterns while ensuring that the software meets the requirements specified by stakeholders. The Software Engineer will also be responsible for writing and executing unit tests to ensure the reliability and quality of the software along with fixing bugs. The Software Engineer will initially focus on developing the application’s front end.
Primary Responsibilities:Design and architect software applications.Design, develop, test, and integrate custom applications, developing innovative scalable, secure enterprise custom applications.Understand complex systems and how to troubleshoot and make them highly available.Resolve design, implementation, and/or performance issues.Support all development and delivery activities, from requirements definition and specification to deployment and delivery to production.Consult with project teams and end users to identify new requirements; and identify areas for improvements.Support and respond to customer/user inquiries.
Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field), or substitute six years of equivalent work experienceAt least three (3) years of experience as a Software EngineerExperience with UI/UX design and related tools (e.g. Figma)Experience in a similar role of functions including software development on complex applications on large-scale production environmentsProficiency in coding languages and technologies, e.g., Angular, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL DB, GitHubExperience programming with serverless computing technologies, e.g., AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Cloud Formation, S3Must have experience working with Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps environments.Must have experience with Jira and Confluence.Strong work ethic, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Desired Skills & Qualifications:Experience working on a database migration projectExperience developing customer-facing applications.Previous federal government project experience a plus
