Role DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Android developer to join our team on a contract basis. As an Android developer, you will be responsible for developing new features and maintaining existing applications. You should have a strong understanding of Android app development using Java and XML, as well as experience with Android Studio IDE.

Responsibilities:Develop and maintain Android applicationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresWork with external data sources and APIsUnit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliabilityWork on bug fixing and improving application performance

QualificationsProven working experience in Android app developmentExperience with Android SDKExperience with third-party libraries and APIsSolid understanding of the full mobile development life cycleGood knowledge of Java and XMLFamiliarity with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to back-end servicesStrong understanding of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practicesExperience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuningAbility to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as "touch"Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications
